31 weeks today!

Hello everybody!

Karen here to give you the August baby update! We just got back from the doctor and things are looking great! The doctor also said that he's really strong and healthy and kicking around. In fact he kicked the little heartbeat monitor thing the doctor was using. :)

As for me I've been feeling pretty cruddy lately, I still get little headaches but nothing nearly as bad as that migraine thing I got. And no more numbness either. But these little headaches are really annoying, can't wait until that's over with.

Also in news Bill got a new job! He does cleanup on dirty dirty films now so they can be made all pretty onto DVDs :) And the best of all is that they have a night shift so that we can trade off Charlie after he's born and not have to worry about daycare and we'll still have the weekends all together! Woohoo!!

That's all for now. I'm now going to have doctor's appointments every two weeks so stay tuned for more updates and maybe some surprises!!

Keeping us on our toes!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a little update on all of the goings on!

Well a few days ago I was hanging out at work and suddenly *bam!* I was seeing spots..it was like after you look into a bright light or see a flash and you get those bright floaty spots but I hadn't looked at anything...strange....so I waited for them to go away and I came home. Then I took a nap and when I woke up I started seeing spots again and then my hands went numb...even more strange...so we called the doctor and they said that we could come in or we could wait until the next day. But once the numbness came back and I started to get a REALLY BAD headache Bill threw me in the car and off we went to the doctor. And let me tell you they do NOT mess around when it comes to strange symptons! They ran EVERY test in the book on me! Which was annoying yet nice because they're being thourough and all. And the final verdict? I'm fine! Looks like I got a migraine probably because of all the hormones and baby stuff. The next few days I laid low because I would still get the spots and little headaches which the doctor said is fine as long as they're not as bad as that first migraine. But now I'm pretty much back to normal! Everything is good! Just another annoying thing to add to the list :) Nothing to worry about!!

I have another Doctor appointment in a couple of weeks! Until then!

Cute things!!!

So we were pleasantly surprised the other day when in the mail we find the most ADORABLE thing ever!
Yup! It's a onesie that says "Captain Adorable" and we LOVE it!! Julie and Greg sent it to us and we couldn't be happier!! Charlie is totally going to live in this thing :) Thanks you guys!! You're too awesome :)

As for on this end things are going very well. I had a Dr's appointment a couple of days ago and things couldn't be better! Well as far as how the baby is doing, as for me I've been having some bad round ligament pain (It feels like a pulled muscle on my side) and my feet are swollen a bit but the doctor said that both of these things are perfectly normal and nothing is wrong. I had a glucose test as well and things are great!

I've also been having a lot of requests for "belly pictures" and I gotta say there's really not a whole lot of belly to take a picture of, I mean I'm a lot thicker around the middle but nothing exciting to see...that's why I haven't been showing a lot of pictures. Well here's a picture of us at Comic Con last week.And for those Ghost Hunters fans out there...yes that is Donna and that Ghost Hunters International guy :)

We've also begun taking a couple of baby classes at the nearby hospital. It's a little gruesome at times but not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be :)

So overall things are good, Charlie is good and kicking around like crazy and we're just plugging along and looking forward to the upcoming Baby Bash in September! Woohoo!!! Thanks again Julie and Greg!! You guys are awesome!!!!!

This month's appointment!

Yup! Already another appointment! Nothing too exciting although I must say it is exciting to hear that everything is great! Everything is normal and looking good and we couldn't be happier!

As for me (Karen) the pain in my hips has subsided A LOT yet I have added on the addition of yucky heartburn (ick!) It seems that as soon as one thing gets better I get another thing to make me uncomfortable! Also when it gets super hot out here my feet swell a bit...but that's to be expected in 108 degree weather I suppose. Thank goodness things have cooled down a bit.

Charlie is doing good. He loves to kick around a lot at the end of the day when I get home from work. But by the time Bill gets home from work at night he's not moving as much. Bill calls him a big tease because he doesn't move much for him...except for when Bill pokes at him..I think Charlie gets angry and pokes back HAHAHAH the bonding has already begun!

Also we have been very fortunate that my cousin Julie has offered to throw us a baby shower! She is so awesome! We're pretty sure it'll be at the end of September but I'm sure you all will be getting e-mails/invitations as soon as me and Bill get our act together and put a guest list together! So keep your eyes peeled!

The next doctor's appointment is at the end of the month so stay tuned until then! I'm not sure what'll go on at that appointment but I'll keep you all posted!

It's a boy!!

Yup! It's for sure! We found out today at the ultrasound! Not as good of a view as the last ultrasound but you get the idea;


And we've found a name we both like!! We think we're going to go with Charles (Charlie) Andrew Drastal (we think it has a nice ring to it :)

As for me (Karen) I'm doing good. Just a lot of aches and pains and not really showing much. But everything is normal and good!! Hooray!!!!

So the ultimate Dr's appointment where we find out if it's a boy or a girl is this Friday!! I hope it works out where they can see it!! Ack!!!

Doctors Appointment Today!

Nothing big to report though. Other than that a lot of test results came back and they all look great and they took some more blood (ick!) to test for some more stuff and all that. But overall everything is great! I'm not sick anymore and I'm not as tired as I used to be. But I still do get tired a lot. Also I tend to get really achey A LOT! That's annoying. But at the next appointment in June is when they can see if we're having a boy or a girl! Woohoo! We can't wait!! So until then...here's some more info on what's going on right now,

"This little one's a looker — with a face that has both eyebrows and eyelashes — but a skinny looker since there's no baby fat yet. Baby's crown-to-rump measurement is between four and five inches, and weight is around three ounces."
